12 teams, each plays the others twice - home and away - for a total of 22 games each, over 22 game weeks.

Scoring points:
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss.

Table order:
1. points won; 2. total goal difference; 3. total goals scored; 4. points in head-to-head matches; 5. goal difference in hth matches; 6. goals scored in hth matches; 7. draw.

Torneo de Invierno - Final Stages (Cuadrangular):

Format:
4 teams from the Torneo de Invierno, each plays the others twice - home and away - for a total of 6 games each, over 6 game weeks.

Scoring points:
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss.

Table order:
1. points won; 2. total goal difference; 3. total goals scored; 4. points in head-to-head matches; 5. goal difference in hth matches; 6. goals scored in hth matches; 7. draw.

Qualification for Torneo de Invierno - Final:
1 place: qualify for Final


Torneo de Invierno - Final:
------------

Format:
2 teams contest the Torneo de Invierno champion in a knockout format.
If one team wins both the Torneo de Invierno and the Torneo de Invierno - Final Stages, then no Final is played and that team automatically becames the Torneo de Invierno champion.

Final:
The two Semi-finals winners meet each other with the winner becoming Torneo de Invierno champion.
Winner is decided over two legs.

Tie-breakers for the Finals knockout matches:
1. aggregate score from the two legs, 2. extra time, 3. penalties.

Qualification for CONCACAF competitions:
champion: CONCACAF Champions League


Torneo de Verano:
------------

Format:
12 teams, each plays the others twice - home and away - for a total of 22 games each, over 22 game weeks.

Scoring points:
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss.

Table order:
1. points won; 2. total goal difference; 3. total goals scored; 4. points in head-to-head matches; 5. goal difference in hth matches; 6. goals scored in hth matches; 7. draw.

Qualification for Torneo de Verano - Final Stages:
1-4 place *: qualify for Final Stages
* - if any of the qualified teams is also to be relegated at the end of the season, it cannot play in the Torneo de Verano - Final Stages, and the 5th placed team in the Torneo de Verano table qualifies instead.

Relegation from the league:
Teams' records from the Torneo de Invierno and Torneo de Verano are summed (a total of 44 games each) and a Summary Table is compiled.
12 place in the summary table: relegated to Liga de Ascenso

Summary Table order:
